Sarah Oechsle lives and writes in Asheville, NC. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Ploughshares, Flash Fiction Magazine, Feign, Bright Flash, Weird Lit, and more. She is also working on a book.

She is editor and co-founder of French Broads Lit, a not-for-profit literary journal based in Asheville, NC.

In a brief and formative past life, Sarah made maps for money, and she’ll still get down with a spreadsheet to this day. When not writing, she does social media, copywriting, and digital marketing for an equine therapy non-profit in Western NC. In her free time, Sarah maintains a fragile peace between her three dogs, frequents dive bars, and plays too much Crusader Kings 3.
